Originally, I wanted to go back to my Ukrainian roots and study Russian. Sadly, there was limited opportunity to do so in England, where I’m from. German seemed like a good alternative. And now I know: Life is NOT too short to learn German. I later completed a Master’s degree in translation.
In 2006, I returned to Germany and started working as a translator at exact! in 2009. My German partner and I moved to Basel in May 2015. Thanks to the possibility of working from home as well as regular visits to the office in Mannheim, I am still part of the exact! team.
